NCC Vo-Tech Wins Superstars in Education Award as part of BRINC Consortium

The BRINC Consortium, made up of educators from Brandywine, Indian River, New Castle County Vo-Tech and Colonial school districts were winners of a 2014 Superstars in Education Award, which was presented May 5 at the annual Superstars recognition event. The Superstars Awards program, sponsored by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce through its nonprofit organization, The Partnership, annually solicits schools to nominate their outstanding educational programs. BRINC was one of nine programs from throughout the state selected to receive a Superstars Award. Read more

Board Elects New Officers

At the July 28, 2014, regular Board meeting, members of the NCCVT School Board of Education unanimously elected Yvette Santiago to serve as President of the Board for the coming year. A board member since 2007, she has served several years as the board's Vice President. John F. Lynch was elected Board Vice President. Mr. Lynch, who was first appointed to the board in 1983, has served as board president for the past 24 years.   Read more
