Athletic Healthcare Services
Overview
The Athletic Healthcare Services program prepares students to assist in the implementation of treatment care plans, training, and conducting treatment interventions under the supervision of a certified athletic trainer. The program covers a wide range of topics, including applied anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, neurology, orthopedics, physical therapy modalities, and more. Students will gain hands-on experience in using equipment, observing and recording patient progress, and providing wound and injury care. This training prepares graduates to work as Athletic Healthcare Aides, and also serves as a foundation for further studies in Physical Therapy, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, and other Allied Health professions. The demand for professionals in the Allied Health field is expected to remain high, making this a rewarding career choice.
