Fire Safety & Rescue
Overview
The Fire Safety & Rescue Program helps students get ready for jobs in emergency services. This includes careers like firefighter, EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), and 911 operator.
Students learn how to:
- Follow safety steps in emergencies
- Understand and manage dangerous situations
- Help during fires, accidents, and medical calls
- Talk clearly with teams and the public
- Know the laws and rules for emergency work
This program also helps students earn certifications that can lead to better jobs and pay.
What You’ll Learn

Hands-On Experience
Students learn in the classroom and through real-world practice. They use fire and rescue tools, work as a team, and respond to practice calls. The program builds skills to help students get a job or continue learning after graduation.
Certification
Students can earn:
- EMR – Emergency Medical Responder
- EMT – Emergency Medical Technician
These certifications help students get jobs right out of high school.

Earning Potential
Students in this field can earn between $15 and $25 an hour, depending on the job and your experience.
