Homebound Instruction
In cases where a student needs to be out of school for more than two consecutive weeks, they may qualify for Homebound services. Please note that Homebound instruction is intended as a short-term solution and is not a substitute for the full classroom experience.
To arrange Homebound services, parents should contact their student’s school counselor, who will review the process and requirements. A letter from a medical or mental health professional specifying that the student requires (not simply recommends) a temporary absence from school is necessary. The letter must also include an anticipated return date or a date for re-evaluation.
